TheAype / Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

This policy explains what TheAype collects, what it does not collect, and the choices available to you. It applies to theaype.pro.et and to every tool hosted there.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the TheAype website and the utilities it provides. The PDF, invoice, salary, benchmark, and watermark tools do not require an account, and they never ask you to create a profile or sign in. The only feature that requires an account is the reviews section at /reviews , because a review has to be tied to a real member.

2. Summary

  • Files you select are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers.
  • The tools do not require an account. Signing in is only needed to publish a review, and we do not sell personal data.
  • This site does not run advertising networks and does not set advertising cookies or device identifiers for ad purposes.
  • You can clear site data at any time through your browser settings.

3. Client-Side Processing

The core tools on this site run in your web browser using JavaScript running on your own device. When you select a document, image, or other file, the file is read locally through the browser File API. The contents are held in your device's memory for as long as the tool is open.

Files are not transmitted to theaype.pro.et for processing. We do not operate an upload endpoint for these tools. When you close or reload the tab, in-memory data is released. We cannot recover your files, because we never received them.

Any network request a tool makes is limited to retrieving static site assets and, where a tool depends on current reference data, fetching that public data. You can verify this behaviour with your browser's network inspector at any time.

4. Local File Security

Local processing protects confidentiality, but it does not remove your own responsibility for the device you are using. The following practices reduce risk:

  • Keep your operating system, browser, and browser extensions up to date, since file handling happens through browser code.
  • Do not use these tools on a shared or public computer when handling confidential documents.
  • Close the tab when you are done so that file references are released from memory.
  • Do not open downloaded output files on untrusted devices. Anything you save to disk becomes a normal file that you own and must manage.
  • Use the sharing and permission features of your operating system when handing off generated files.

5. Information We Collect

TheAype does not require an account to use the tools. If you choose to create one, so that you can publish a review, we store the details listed below. In the course of normal operation we may also see the following technical data:

  • Server request logs. IP address, timestamp, requested URL, HTTP status, user agent, and referrer. These are generated by our hosting provider to deliver pages and to diagnose faults.
  • Diagnostics. Details you include in a support message, such as your browser version and the steps that produced the error.
  • Support correspondence. If you email us, we keep the message so that we can respond and keep a record of the resolution.
  • Feedback and tool requests. If you submit the feedback form, we store the feedback type, selected tool or requested title, description, optional contact email, and submission time. These entries and contact emails are not publicly readable. We use them to investigate bugs, consider tool requests, and follow up if needed.
  • Account details. If you create an account, we store your email address, your display name, the optional phone number you enter, and your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google. Your email address and display name are shown next to reviews you publish. Your phone number is never published.
  • Reviews. The platform you rated, the star rating, your comment, and the time you submitted it. Your account identifier is attached to each review so that you can edit or delete it.

We do not ask for payment details at any point, and we never see the contents of the documents or images you process with the tools.

Tool inputs, such as invoice line items, salary figures, and Telegram captions, are processed locally and are not transmitted to us. If you include personal data in a support message, it becomes part of that correspondence and is handled under this policy.

6. How We Use Information

Limited technical and support data is used only to:

  • Deliver the site and keep it available.
  • Sign you in, keep you signed in, and let you publish, edit, or delete your reviews.
  • Diagnose errors and fix defects.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations that apply to our operation.
  • Detect abuse, such as scraping, denial-of-service traffic, or attempts to disrupt the service.

We do not use your activity to build advertising profiles of our own, and we do not share request logs with advertising networks.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

TheAype sets no tracking cookies of its own and runs no first-party analytics. When you sign in, our authentication provider stores a session token in your browser's local storage so that you stay signed in. Local storage is also used for strictly functional purposes, such as remembering non-sensitive interface preferences on your device.

The invoicing, payroll, exchange rate, and calendar tools keep their own local data on your device. Saved invoices, saved salary calculations, and interface preferences, including your chosen bank and currency pair, are written to your browser's local storage only when you ask for them, and each tool has a control that deletes them. This information is never transmitted to us, and it does not sync between browsers or devices.

Clearing site data foraype.pro.et signs you out and removes that functional local storage. Because the tools are client-side, clearing it does not remove tool functionality.

We do not run advertising networks. No advertising cookies or device identifiers are set for ad purposes, so there is nothing to opt out of on this page.

8. Third-Party Services

Our hosting provider processes request data to serve this site on our behalf. We do not embed social media widgets, chat widgets, or third-party trackers. Links to external sites, including payment providers referenced in the invoicing tools, are governed by those providers' own policies once you leave theaype.pro.et.

We also rely on the following providers:

  • Supabase hosts our database and handles sign-in, including Google sign-in. Account details, reviews, and feedback submissions are stored on their infrastructure. See the Supabase privacy policy .
  • Google handles sign-in when you choose the Google option, and may see your email address, name, and profile picture as part of that handshake.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile runs a bot check on the sign-in form. It sets its own cookies and may process your IP address and browser characteristics to decide whether to issue a verification token. No personal data from your account is shared with it.

9. Data Retention

Server logs are retained for a short operational period and are then deleted or anonymised. Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve the issue and to keep a record of the resolution, after which it is deleted. Local tool data leaves memory when you close or reload the page.

Account and review records are kept for as long as the account exists. There is no one-click account closure button on the site today, so to close your account and have your profile and reviews deleted, email us from the address on the account. We action deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.

10. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Because file processing is client-side, document contents never pass through our infrastructure, which removes the largest category of risk for the tools themselves. No system is perfectly secure: our hosting and provider accounts are protected with standard access controls, and we apply updates as they become available.

11. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data relating to you, and to object to processing or complain to a supervisory authority. Requests usually concern your account, your published reviews, support emails, or server logs. To make a request, email us from the address you want action taken on so that we can verify it, and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

12. Children's Privacy

The site is not directed at children under 13, or under the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the site, our services, or the law. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.

14. Contact

Questions, requests, or corrections can be sent to theayprs@theaype.pro.et.
